Reports reaching us state that former Somalia Prime Minister and leader of Khatumo State Ali Khalif Galaydh has passed on at the age of 79 in Ethiopia.
The cause of his death has not been revealed yet.
For the last few years, he has been in Hargeisa, Somaliland, where he signed agreements with the former President Ahmed Silanyo.
He previously served as Minister of Industry under Siad Barre’s regime. He was also appointed as a member of Parliament in 1979. Ali Khalif Galaydh was born in 1941 in Las’anod in Somaliland.
He is well remembered for his participation in the Somali National Peace Conference in Arta, Djibouti.
