Somalia President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has accused his Prime minister Mohamed Hussein Rooble of failing to lead elections, calls for a consultative meeting to “course-correct” the election and to agree on a leadership capable of implementing inclusive, transparent election.
The statement of Villa Somalia came barely a few hours after the Federal election committee members ousted their Chairman accusing him of failure.
The Prime minister has not yet responded to these allegations but it seems that a new political stalemate between Farmajo and Roble has emerged again which can be an obstacle to the ongoing election process.
Recently, the Prime Minister fired 7 members of the election disputes resolution team, admitted the election was not taking place according to schedule, and called for a meeting with regional leaders on Dec 27.
