President Hassan Sheikh attends Erdogan’s Inauguration ceremony

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia participated in the inaugural ceremony of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who was reelected for another term. He joined numerous dignitaries representing 78 nations at the swearing-in event of Turkish President Erdogan on Saturday.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud previously extended his congratulations to President Erdogan through a telephone conversation. He expressed his firm belief in the sustained collaboration and close bilateral relations between the two countries.

He expressed utmost confidence in President Erdoğan’s exemplary leadership, emphasizing his belief that Turkey will continue to achieve remarkable progress across various developmental spheres. 

This comes as a result of his victory in the presidential runoff election held last Sunday, where he garnered 52.18% of the votes. The opposition candidate, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, secured 47.82% of the votes, as reported by the country’s Supreme Election Council based on the final results.
