President Hassan Sheikh tests negative from Covid-19 after four days of self-isolation

Villa Somalia announced that President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has tested negative from Covid-19 following four days of self isolation after he was tested positive on friday on his return from the United Arab Emirates.

The Spokesperson noted that President Hassan Sheikh’s health was excellent and will be back to office to continue his public service. On Monday, Abdikarim Ali Kaar said other members of the President’s delegate to the UAE including himself did not test positive from covid19 as they took their second medical test on Sunday.

The ministry of health has not reported any more cases since 2020. This could mean the threat of covid-19 in Somalia fairly decreased its number. Hundreds of people have lost their lives from covid-19 since the outbreak in Somalia.
