The Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission for Somalia and Head of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) Ambassador Mohamed El-Amine Soufe accompanied by the ATMIS contingent commander of the Ugandan troop Brig Gen Peter Omola held a meeting with top Somali National Army officials led by Chief Odowaa Raageh.
The Officials Discussions revolved around the security situation in Somalia and the collaboration between Somali National Army and ATMIS to the on going offensives against Al-shabab and the liberation of the country.
Ambassador Soufe also held a meeting with the Chargé d’Affaires of Sudan Ambassador Ammar Ahmed Babakar Ali in Mogadishu and discussed ways to strengthen existing support and mutual cooperation in safety and security.
