Fifteen Somali lawmakers have been suspended from attending the next five sessions of Somalia’s parliament according to the speaker of the lower house.
The legislators who are all opposition members are accused of obstructing yesterday’s session.
The banned legislators said they have immunity from any disciplinary action while in the house.
On Saturday, a parliamentary session postponed after argument over alleged plot to extend the mandate for president Farmaajo administration.
The terms of the president and the parliament ended, however no elections were held and the opposition demands elections to be held on time.
