Somalia Army forces conducted Military Operations in Lower Shabelle

Somalia’s military forces have said that they conducted military operations in the lower Shabelle region of Somalia, where Alshabab sometimes carries out attacks. The military officers noted this operation was intended to remove the group from the remaining areas in the region.

Military officials who spoke to the state media claimed that they have destroyed military bases belonging to Alshabab that were used to plan their attacks against the government . However the militants group has not commented on this incident.

The Military forces highlighted that Alshabab was planning to conduct attacks that the somali forces have now prevented. The commandos have strengthened the military operations against Alshabab in the region for the past few days.
