Somalia has offered its condolences to Egypt over the victims of the massive fire that ripped through Abu Sefein Church in Imbaba district in Giza governorate early on Sunday.
In a statement, the ministry of foreign affairs expressed its heartfelt condolences to Egypt and the Coptic Orthodox Church victims who lost their lives. At least 41 people were killed and 14 others injured in the fire on Sunday.
The blaze was blamed on an electrical fault at the Abu Seifein church in densely populated Imbaba, a working-class district west of the Nile River and part of Giza governorate in greater Cairo.
