The new prime minister of Somalia Hamse Abdi Barre emphasized that his administration will intensify war on Al Shabab as he announced that security and stabilization of the country will be one of his major achievements in his administration.
He said Somalia will start offensives to liberate areas under al-Shabaab to make the nation peaceful and prosperous. Prime minister Hamse Abdi Barre appealed to the public to extend support to the security agencies and they should move ahead to liberate the country from Alshabab.
Alshabab has been the strongest army rival against the federal government in the past decade and still carries out planned attacks, explosives and assassinations in the central and Southren Somalia. Though, the government claimed the group was weakened militarily in the last five years.
