The council of opposition candidates in Somalia have condemned the attack that is said to have been targeting the residence of former president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Wadajir party leader Abdirahman Abdishakur in Mogadishu.
In a statement, the council also condemns the suppression and intimidation of the Somali people and residents of Mogadishu.
The council is calling for the removal of the army from politics. It also warns AMISOM not to be involved in a civil war.
