Somalia President visits Somali soldiers training in Turkey

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia HE Hassan Sheikh Mohamud visited the Turkish Commandos Training School in Isparta, where thousands of Somali Commandos have been trained.

A statement by President Mohamud thanked Turkey for its “valuable security assistance,” noting that the training provided to the Somali youth has produced “great future Somali military officers and leaders.”

The President said he met some great future Somali military officers and leaders and feels prude of them. He spoke with Somali officers and soldiers undergoing training at the Isparta Commandos School and reminded them of the critical role awaiting them at home, which is to defend their country and protect the Somali people.
