Somalia Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble suspended Foreign Affairs Minister Abdisaid Muse on Tuesday. Prime Minister Roble also nullified Muse’s letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that authorized a ship carrying illegal charcoal exported from Somalia and docked off the coast of Oman.
In a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister, Roble said that the letter from the ministry violates national and international law and poses a threat to the country. The Prime Minister instructed the National Audit Office and security agencies to investigate the matter and report it to the judiciary.
Meanwhile, Abdisaid Muse did not respond to the Prime Minister’s allegations and Still, reports indicate that the Prime Minister’s working relationship with his foreign minister has not been good since former President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo appointed him to replace Mohamed Abdirizak Mohamud Abubakar as foreign minister.
