The Somalia Minister of Finance Abdirahman Duale Beyle, has been summoned to the Office of the Attorney General to answer to “crimes related to the country’s finances and economy.”
A statement issued by the office of the Attorney General directed the Finance Minister to appear before it on Monday 27th June at 11.00am without fail to take questions from the Attorney general’s office.
The summoning of the Finance Minister comes days after he dismissed rumors that the former government led by Farmaajo had left a lot of money in the nation’s coffers, instead saying money left behind was barely enough to get by.
The statement did not clarify if the attorney general’s office will also summon the alleged members of the former administration for clarification.
