The Governor of Mudug region of Galmudug state in Somalia in a meeting that took place in Galkayo stated that the security of the region is challenged by three cooperating groups and are obstacles to the security of the region.
The governor of Mudug region Ahmed Shire Bukhari has stated that Al-shabaab and other groups are causing the security problems of the region and the government will take actions towards those groups if they continue the attacks.
He also called out to the residents of Mudug to join the operations to maintain the security of the region. The region usually experiences clan clashes between the residents of the region and attacks claimed by al-shabab.
