Uganda’s High Commissioner to Kenya and Seychelles Dr Hassan Galiwango has passed away. He died on Monday morning in Nairobi while undergoing treatment.
His death was announced on Monday by Uganda’s first deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs, Rebecca Kadaga. Dr Galiwango had been admitted at the Nairobi Hospital, where he died.
The late was the husband to Mbale City Woman Member of Parliament, Ms Connie Nakayeze Galiwango.
He has been the High Commissioner to Kenya and Seychelles since 2021 when he presented his credentials to President of the two countries.
Before his appointment as High Commissioner, Dr Galiwango had been a long-serving director of finance and administration at The National Resistance Movement (NRM) secretariat.
