Former Somalia Prime Minister apologises to Opposition Leader over attack on Political Party Headquarters

Former Somalia Prime minister and aspiring President Hassan Ali Khaire has officially apologised to the Wadajir leader over the attack on his political party headquarters.

Hassan Ali Kheyre Former Somalia Prime Minister, who is a presidential candidate in the upcoming elections, has apologized for the attack in the office of Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame who is the leader of the Wadajir political party. The attack happened at the political party headquarters three years ago.

The assault which was blamed on the Somali Intelligence Elite Squad on 17th December 2017 resulted in the death of the guards while politician Abdishakur sustained slight injuries. Khaire said he paid a visit to the residence of the leader of the Wadajir party and presidential candidate Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame, where they met in a spirit of brotherhood.

Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame who spoke on the issue also confirmed the visit and meeting by former premier Kheyre. He also called on other government officials to take a similar path by taking responsibility for their actions.
