Galmudug president nominates court magistrates

Ahmed Abdi Kaariye Qoor Qoor; the president of Galmudug; has nominated court magistrates in his regional administration. A circular issued by Galmudug presidency that reached the local press shows a list of people nominated in the judiciary system. They are heads and deputies of courts and general persecutors.

The list includes:

1.            Saed Abdirahman Sheikh, Court of Appeal Judge of the Galgadud

2.            Mohamed Abdi Kadiy,  a regional head of the superior court

3.            Jimale Ali Salad, Court of Appeal Judge of Mudug region

4.            Abdirizaq Ali Yusuf, Principal Judge of Mudug region

5.            Abdilahi Ali Umar, Deputy and General Persecutor of Galmudug

6.            Abdihakim Mohamed Hirsi, Deputy General Persecutor of Galmudug

These nominations came as to further the ongoing justice reform and response to the president’s election campaign on which he promised to build or reform the underperforming departments including justices of Galmudug regional administration. The former justices were not functioning well due to lack of experience and knowledge, and the people waited with heavy hearts for the president to nominate new justice cadres soonest.
