Libyan Ambassador Engages UN and Major Powers to Address Israeli Violations

Libya’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Al-Tahir Al-Sunni, is actively pursuing diplomatic channels to garner support for the popular movement advocating an end to Israeli violations against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

In a series of meetings, Al-Sunni is engaging with the Arab Group in New York and representatives from key nations, including Russia, China, and the United States, as part of Libya’s presidency of the Arab bloc.

The ongoing discussions signal a consolidated truce anticipated as thirteen Israelis and four Thai nationals arrived in Israel on Sunday after a second release of hostages held by Hamas in an exchange deal for Palestinian prisoners despite a dispute about aid delivery into Gaza.
