The Indonesian National Alms Agency (Baznas) has initiated the packaging of humanitarian aid for Palestinians at a warehouse in New Cairo, Egypt to be transported using six container trucks. The aid, mainly for Palestine, is a collaboration between Baznas and the Mishr Al Kheir Foundation.
Indonesian Deputy Chief of Mission in Egypt, M. Zaim said this in a statement on Sunday.
According to him, the packing process is underway to facilitate the delivery and distribution processes to those in need in Palestine through the Rafah Gate.
Zaim expressed appreciation for the collaboration, emphasizing the crucial role of Indonesian students at Al Azhar University, whose support has contributed significantly to the humanitarian effort.
In his contribution, Baznas’ Deputy for Collection, M. Arifin Purwakananta, commended all parties involved in the assistance distribution efforts
Purwakananta expressed hope that the humanitarian aid would bring substantial benefits to the people of Palestine, currently grappling with difficulties amid Israeli aggression.
He added that the agency remains dedicated to ensuring the transparency of the aid distribution processes, with the goal of significantly aiding Palestinians in need.
The collection period Is set to last until December 31, 2023.
