President Abdirahman Irro Attends the Inauguration of the WADDANI Party’s Second Headquarters

The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Irro) — Founder and former Chairman of the WADDANI Party — today presided over the official inauguration of the Party’s Second Headquarters in the capital city, Hargeisa.

The event, organized with distinction by the leadership and members of the WADDANI Party, was attended by Cabinet Ministers, senior government officials, party executives, national leaders, women and youth representatives, and members of the Somaliland diaspora who support the Party’s vision and mission.

In his keynote address, President Abdirahman Irro expressed profound appreciation to all members and supporters of the WADDANI Party, with special recognition for women, youth, and the diaspora community, describing them as the cornerstone of the Party’s victory and the driving force behind its national achievements.

The President also extended heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished Somalilanders who played key roles in the formation and strengthening of the WADDANI Party. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant eternal mercy to those who have passed away and continued success to those still serving their nation with dedication.

President Irro emphasized that the inauguration of this new headquarters marks a historic milestone and reflects the continued growth, unity, and national vision of the WADDANI Party. He reaffirmed that the Party remains firmly committed to peace, democracy, justice, unity, and service to the people of the Republic of Somaliland.

Highlighting the importance of national cohesion and democratic governance, the President noted that the WADDANI Party has long been a pillar of stability, political progress, and institutional development in Somaliland’s democratic journey.

The Head of State further affirmed that the policies and priorities of his Administration are guided by the political program of the WADDANI Party, which serves as the principal framework for the Government’s agenda on national development, reform, and good governance.

President Irro underscored that the Government and the Party share a common purpose and a unified vision; to promote sustainable development, safeguard peace and unity, and build a transparent, accountable, and citizen-centered system of governance.

In his closing remarks, the President called upon Cabinet Ministers and senior officials to work in close partnership with the Party’s leadership, ensuring full coordination and alignment between the Government and the ruling Party. He also reminded public officials of the moral duty of accountability, stating:

“Let us hold ourselves accountable before we are held accountable.”
