The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi (Irro), today inaugurated a flagship water development initiative in Gabiley during the second day of his official working visit to the region. The project, which marks a significant investment in public infrastructure, is aimed at ensuring the people of Gabiley have sustainable access to clean and safe water.
The development program includes the drilling of new wells, interconnection of existing sources, expansion of distribution networks, and the introduction of a modern purification system. Once completed, it will substantially improve both the quality and reliability of water supply across the city.
In his address, President Irro emphasized that this initiative is part of his government’s broader agenda to strengthen essential infrastructure and expand public services that directly improve people’s lives. He reaffirmed that his administration will only launch projects that are fully intended to be completed, with lasting impact for the citizens.
