The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Irro), yesterday formally presided over the swearing-in of officials recently appointed to head the nation’s Independent State National Institutions.
In accordance with Article 129 of the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland, the oath of office was administered before the President by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Constitutional Court, Hon. Adan Haji Ali Ahmed.
In his address, the President underlined the profound significance of the Constitutional Oath, characterizing it as both a sacred pledge and a binding constitutional covenant. He reminded the new officeholders that the responsibilities entrusted to them are weighty and historic, requiring an unyielding commitment to integrity, fairness, impartiality, and service to the Republic.
President Abdirahman Irro urged the officials to approach their mandates with a spirit of accountability and dedication, so that their work may contribute to strengthening national institutions and safeguarding the public trust.
He emphasized that the measure of their service will be reflected not only in the progress they deliver today, but also in the legacy they leave for future generations.
Concluding his remarks, the President prayed for the guidance and blessings of Allah (SWT), asking that the newly sworn-in leaders be granted wisdom and strength in fulfilling their national duties with honor and distinction.
