Arab League Chief Ahmed Aboul Gheit, on Wednesday, denounced a maritime accord between the leaders of Ethiopia and Somaliland, citing it as a “clear violation of international law.”
The accord has sparked regional tensions, prompting the Arab League to endorse the Somalia government’s rejection of the agreement.
In response, Somaliland asserts its sovereign right to engage in international agreements and urges the international community to recognize and respect the bilateral accord entered into with Ethiopia.
