Soldiers Accused of Rape of Two Boys in Somalia

Two soldiers of Southwestern regional autonomy were allegedly accused of raping two boys.

It is a unique and horrific crime, unprecedented in Somalia’s crime history. The two soldiers were executed last week without due process. After seeing clear evidence, Bidoa Court sentenced them to five years imprisonment following Moahmed Adan Ali, 20, a man who was convicted of raping a five-old girl, Ayni Badiyow.

In the recent days news about rape of children, both boys and girls at very young age has been springing out of Bidoa, Somalia has definitely left the world shocked with these recent development.

In Somalia, a dowry is said to be affordable and manageable, yet the rate of child rape keeps growing.
