Acting Minister of Foreign and International Cooperation Ahmed Isse Abdi welcomed UN envoy to Somalia at his residence in Mogadishu.
They discussed Somalia’s current state of affairs.
Mr Ahmed briefed the envoy about the progress in security and economy, and other aspects of life Somalia has excelled so far. He emphasized his country’s appreciation of UN cooperation and teamwork.
Mr James Swan also on his side commended Ahmed’s good working relationship with the UN and thanked Ahmed, the outgoing minister.
James said the UN stands with Somalia to help her get back on it feet.
The United Nations UN provides financial, security and humanitarian support. The support Somalia gets from the UN continues to increase each year.
