Somalia’s international partners have acknowledged the Federal Government of Somalia’s intention to finalize the Constitution, urging all stakeholders to build consensus through an inclusive process.
In a statement, the international partners also commended the Federal Government and the Federal Parliament putting in place measures to ensure Somalia’s compliance with international and regional human rights obligations, including the rights of the child.
It further expressed optimism over future cooperation with Somalia as it consolidates its role in the international arena.
The call for an inclusive constitutional review process underscores the importance of ensuring that diverse voices are heard and represented in shaping Somalia’s future governance framework.
