The EU ambassador to Somalia Nicolas Berlanga has commended the yet to be recognized Somaliland for a successful elections, lauding the horn of Africa country for maintaining peace and stability in the region.
Nicolas Berlanga made this statement in a press briefing after an assessement tour of the ongoing Hargeisa water projects which covered Hargeisa Reservoir D site and Geed Deeble pumping station respectively.
The EU ambassador said Somaliland election was generally peaceful hence he commended the people for maintaining stability in the entire Somali region.
He also praised the government of Somaliland for the developments made so far adding that the government is working towards ensuring that households in somaliland have access to safe and clean water.
