Former UCID Vice Presidential Candidate Joins Aspiring Candidates for the house of representatives Speakership

Former UCID party vice presidential candidate Ahmed Muse Abyan has joined aspiring candidates for the house of representatives speakership.

Ahmed Muse Abyan will face two other strong politicians who hail from the same region, Sool, as himself.

Recently, Yasin Faraton, the Somaliland minister of foreign Affairs officially announced his candidacy for the house of representatives.

Abdirizak Khalif who is the second deputy of the main opposition party of Somaliland (Waddani) and hails from the same region also launched his candidacy for the position.

Historically,the speakership of the house has been held by Politicians who hail from the Eastern regions of the country. The current speaker of Somalilad’s house of representatives is Bashe Mohamed Farah who also hails from Sool province.
