The Mayor of Hargeisa Abdikarim Ahmed Moge stated that the small business owners who lost their properties after Wahen market engulfed fire in April this year and the National Committee for the Reconstruction of the Waheen Market made an agreement to move the small businesses to the designated areas within two months and desist from installing their business in the busy roads of the city.
An official who spoke on behalf of the business community elaborated more on the meeting and assured they will take the directives from the local government while he acclaimed the mayor and the local government for their efforts.
However, the Mayor clarified that this is part of his efforts to clean the roads of the city and asked the business community to respect the order and get the two months to prepare themselves for the rehabilitation.
Naming some of the designated areas for the business community, the Municipality disclosed that Beerta Horiyadda, Laynka Bilayska and other locations will soon be open for the community.
