Hargeisa, Somaliland – July 28, 2025 –
President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Irro), today received a high-ranking delegation from Saudi Arabia’s Al Rajhi Group and its international partner, Seed Investment Group, at the Presidential Palace in Hargeisa. The visit marks a significant step toward strengthening investment cooperation between Somaliland and international private sector partners.
The seven-member delegation, led by Sheikh Nasir Alqahdiani, General Manager of Al Rajhi Group, included:

2. Dr. Mohamed Nasir Alqahdani – Al Rajhi Group
3. Dr. Abdullah Sadik – Strategic Advisor
4. Eng. Anter Bilaal – Head of Infrastructure Engineering
5. Mr. Abdulrahman Salool – Government Relations Coordinator
6. Dr. Shakir Haji Hussein Nur – Executive Director, Seed Investment Group
The discussions focused on exploring investment opportunities in key sectors of Somaliland’s economy, including energy, livestock, agriculture, fisheries, infrastructure, tourism, banking, insurance, and finance.
President Irro warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed deep appreciation for their visit. In his address, he highlighted Somaliland’s historical achievements, strong governance, enduring peace and stability, and its strategic geographic importance in the Horn of Africa. He emphasized the government’s readiness to partner with investors who respect Somaliland’s legal frameworks and contribute to sustainable, inclusive development.
The President also reaffirmed the close historical and cultural ties between Somaliland and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, underscoring his administration’s commitment to fostering meaningful international partnerships.
The visiting delegation praised Somaliland’s stability and ongoing economic reforms, expressing strong interest in establishing long-term partnerships across priority sectors. They particularly noted opportunities in renewable energy, livestock, agriculture, fisheries, tourism, and infrastructure development.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to deepening strategic collaboration and maintaining an open dialogue to advance mutual interests and foster sustainable growth.
