The President of the Republic of Somaliland Muse Bihi steped up his meetings with the US officials at all levels. He engaged in talks with some of the Senate members at the capitol hill. According to the Somaliland Presidency the meeting was majorly focused on Climate change and the Environment as well as the protection of wild life.
President Bihi expressed gratitude to the Senate members for their commitment to strengthen relations between the two countries and expressed optimism about the outcome of their meetings.
The foreign affairs minister for Somaliland Essa Kayd stated that this meeting is part of a strategic partnership between the U.S.A. and Somaliland and this is the time for Somaliland. The President and his delegation are expected to have talks with other US officials before leaving the country.
