President Bihi returns home from Washington after he engaged 23 top level talks

A large number of people who marched along the airport road all the way to the Presidency, welcomed Somaliland President Muse Bihi after his 13 days visit to the United states of America. This was President Muse Bihi’s first trip to the United states of America ever since he came to power in 2017.

The mayor of Hargeisa Abdikariim Ahmed Mogeh was among the officials who received the President at the airport. He said the President’s visit to Washington was an important trip which came at the right time as Somaliland awaits international recognition.

In his remarks, President Muse Bihi described his visit as a misery to the enemies of Somaliland. He stated that the world has started to listen to Somaliland’s case for independence and expressed optimism for his country to be a member of the United Nations in future.

President Bihi revealed that he held 23 separate meetings with US government officials as well as the private sectors and agreed to collaborate in terms of trade, security and other developmental projects.

The President pledged that his government will keep pushing the international community to accept and consider the rights of his people to be a sovereign state as soon as possible.
