President of Somaliland Returns Home from UAE Visit, “Number of Projects Agreed” FM

The President of the Republic of Somaliland, HE Mr. Muse Bihi Abdi and his delegation welcomed in Egal Airport, today, after a three-day working visit to the United Arab Emirates.

The President and the accompanying delegation were received by members of government officials, officials from the opposition parties, Marodi-Jeh regional governor and other high dignitaries.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Yassin Haji Mohamoud Hir (Faratoon), told the local press that “the President of the Republic of Somaliland and top-ranking officials of the United Arab Emirates held discussions about the several topics of great importance, such as focusing on issues of cooperation, security, trade, and Berbera Projects.

“Meetings were discussed mutual cooperation in security, as you know our region (Horn of Africa) is experiencing continuous terrorism acts.

“The Republic of Somaliland and the United Arab Emirates, jointly will establish a livestock exporting agency in Somaliland, which will market our livestock to the international community and the Arab countries as well,” Said FM Mr. Faraton

Somaliland Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Prof. Yasin Haji Mohamoud Hir (Faratoon) added that the United Arab Emirates and Somaliland agreed on that the reconstructed Berbera Airport would be used by both military operations (UAE) and civilian and commercial flights.
