The capital city of Hargeisa has been experiencing traffic gridlock resulting from the fire that razed the main market last night. Pedestrians and vehicles are being diverted away from the city to allow firefighters extinguish the large fire.
Policemen are guarding the roads linking to the burned down Waheen market. This is ment to deter ordinary citizens from getting close to the fire incident as many citizens try to observe the aftermath of the fire at the scene.
Many market men and women could not go about their daily routine as a result of the sad event which analyst say has crippled livelihood.
The police and traffic warders are in standby to divert cars from Jigjigyar, Pepsi and the presidential palace axis. This no doubt, has created untold hold ups and lockdown to many who are going to their daily businesses.
Until the fire is totally quenched, road situation might be hectic and users are adviced to explore other areas for ease of movement and transactions.
