Somaliland Security forces in Burao have tightened security in the region. The regional police commissioners have said this is just part of their efforts to maintain security in the region.
The operation are being conducted in several districts and checkpoints in the region. The police officers said that there are no security problems in burao but they will intensify the operation within the coming days.
They asked the public to cooperate with the police and report any suspicious activities to the security forces to mitigate future terrorist attacks in the country.
