The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, sent a message and called upon Somaliland people, especially in Lasanod, to immediately end the ongoing fighting in the City.
The president expressed sadness at the clashes that have resulted in unspecified deaths and injuries and said all sides should stop the gun and meet on the negotiation table to resolve their matters.
The president stated that the federal government is ready to be with anyone and anywhere who are willing to resolve the Lasanod conflict in a peaceful manner, expressing The federal government’s readiness to facilitate, participate, and assist in the negotiation settlement of the conflict.
Hassan sheikh sent his condolences to the families of the people who died in the fights in Lasanod city, and wished for the wounded to receive a speedy recovery.
