The Deputy Chairman of the Puntland State Electoral Commission Aynanshe Yusuf Hussein has announced his resignation from the Commission. He is said to be running for the federal parliament.
In a statement, addressed to the Somali Prime Minister, the President of Puntland, the Federal and State Electoral Commissions, Hussein said he had resigned from the commission as both deputy and member, due to personal reasons.
The former Deputy Chairman of the Puntland SEIT thanked the various Committees at the Federal and State levels for their commitment during his tenure, and called on the commissions to work for the good of the Somali people.
