Somaliland Arrests Somalia’s Puntland state MP in today’s fighting in LasAnod

As fighting between Somaliland security forces and armed militia continues in LasAnod for nearly three months. The opposing forces engaged in further conflict on Saturday where casualties were reported.

Somaliland security forces claimed to have arrested dozens of prisoners of war that include Farah Mohamed Dalmar who is a member of Somalia’s Puntland state. Reports say Faarah Dalmar resigned as MP in January to join the armed conflict in LasAnod even though it’s yet unclear if the house accepted his resignation or not.

In a previous video during the early days of the fighting, the MP noted the armed militia defeated Somaliland security forces with severe damages and had pledged to force the Somaliland government to pull back its troops from LasAnod.
