Somaliland has broken the silence on China – Taiwan tension following the recent US house of representative speaker’s visit to Taiwan. Somaliland now calls on China to refrain from provocative actions against Taiwan.
In a press release, the second deputy for the house of Somaliland’s representative noted that they regret the military drill of live ammunition by the Chinese government towards Taiwan’s territories and its waters.
The Horn of Africa state called on the two sides to resolve their differences through dialogue and peaceful means, underlining that the military actions could deteriorate the strained situation between the two countries.
