The Somaliland government has imposed new restrictions on a house in Hargeisa owned by the well known local trader in LasAnod, Mohamed Jabuutaawi; a former supporter and campaigner of the incumbent President. But, recently turned his foe due to the LasAnod affairs.
In a statement from the Somaliland ministry of public works and housing dated on March 11, clarified that the immediate former administration and the businessman signed an agreement to exchange houses but Jabuutaawi allegedly has yet to handover his house in LasAnod to the authorities that led the government to impose restrictions on that house in Hargeisa.
The statement reads that the house in Hargeisa cannot be auctioned or rented until the two sides are fully exchanging the two houses as previously agreed. On his side, the businessman has not yet commented on this matter.
However, before the armed clashes started in LasAnod, Mohamed Jabuutaawi had raised complaints against Bihi’s administration, claiming his business was on target by the government and asked the government to reverse its decisions.
