The government of Somaliland is steadfast in providing humanitarian assistance to the people affected by the severe drought in the country. The government said this will be a continuing exercise and will be implemented in all drought affected areas in the country.
On Sunday, the interior minister held a meeting with the tanker water associations urging them not to increase the price of water as the drought worsens in the country. Both sides agreed on resolving the matter.
The National disaster Preparedness and food security agency had made similar efforts to help people who were severely affected by the drought.
