Unidentified gunmen shot dead Abdifatah Abdillahi aka Abdi-Hadraawi who was a member of the Somaliland Waddani party last night in Lasanod of Sool region for undisclosed reasons. The death of the official was confirmed to the public by the Waddani party.
The Presidential candidate of the party, Abdirahman Irro has sent his condolences to the family, friends and the nation for the demise of Abdi-Hadraawi and urged the country’s security agencies to immediately launch an investigation into the matter.
Abdirahman Irro added that Abdi-Hadraawi was among the house of representatives candidates for the 2021 elections and has been in the top of the waiting list. However, the government is yet to comment on the murder.
