A mother of seven was confirmed dead after a residential house toilet floor suddenly collapsed at 2:00 Am local time in Hargeisa. The deceased was identified as Samira Abdurahman and was reported that she was pregnant.
The Hargeisa fire brigade said they arrived at the scene shortly after residents reported the incident to the authorities, but could not save her as the toilet was severely collapsed and filled with human excreta.
Meanwhile, the Fire Brigade warned the public to refrain from using old toilets that could endanger their lives and cause loss of lives as these kinds of disasters have been reported before in different places in Somaliland.
