Somaliland MP Ahmed Nour Guruje has been atacked with a stone that injured his head by self declared Sultan Suleiman Osman better known as “Habaar”.
The MP has been rushed to Hargeisa general hospital for treatment. Pictures show the Mp with blood on the head and the face as well as a shirt wrapped around his head. It is unclear the root of their disagreements but the two officials have been exchanging criticism through the media in the past few days.
Some of the house of representatives have reacted to this matter and described it as “a misfortune” and called on the security and judiciary systems to take appropriate action immediately.
Ahmed Nour Guruje is a ruling party Mp elected from Maroodijeeh region. But his name influenced local media after he unexpectedly elected Abdirizak Khalif who was representing opposition parties as the new speaker of the house where the ruling party’s hope for the leadership of the house was dashed.
