Somaliland National army forces commemorate 28th Anniversary since inception

Somaliland National Army has commemorated the 28th anniversary since its inception. Gov’t officials including President Muse Bihi Abdi and other regional and international dignitaries have participated in the colorful ceremony.

During the event, Somaliland National army chief, Brigadier Nuh Ismail Tani spoke of the stages the army went through since its inception, their achievements and their gallant efforts to be the most robust force in the region and force to be reckoned with. He also lauded the performance of the national army. Meanwhile, President Muse Bihi reiterated that Somaliland National Army is a force which has all the capability to defend the nation.

For almost three decades, Somaliland has been trying to get international recognition after it declared a unilateral decision to withdraw from its union with Somalia in 1991.
