Somaliland President Muse Bihi has today attended a state funeral of the late Ahmed Haji ALi Adami, who died in Hargeisa yesterday. The President extended his condolences to the family and the nation over the demise of the former defense minister.
President Bihi described him as a “great pillar” for Somaliland and asserted that he was a man who deserves to be remembered in their lifetime. The President also said Adami had contributed a lot to Somaliland’s statehood during his tenure in office.
The funeral saw the attendance of hundreds of mourners who included lawmakers, opposition figures and top government officials. Many touched upon the crucial role that the late Adami played in his country.
Ahmed Haji Ali Adami previously served as Somaliland National Electoral Commision Chairman during President Rayale’s tenure and later President Silaanyo appointed him as the defense minister.
