Somaliland President meets with registered political associations Over LasAnod turmoil

The President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi together with the Vice President, Abdirahman Saylici have held a meeting with the registered political associations over the current situation in Somaliland, in particular the LasAnod turmoil.

According to a statement issued by the Somaliland Presidency, the country’s minister of internal affairs, Mohamed Kahin provided the officials with further details and the latest development on the pressing state of affairs in LasAnod.

Some of the representatives of the political associations, the statement said, have shared with the President all the possible solutions to end the conflict in LasAnod and made a promise to stand side by side with the government to defend the country.

The President extended gratitude to the leaders of political associations for their patriotism towards their country and their people, and he welcomed recommendations raised by the political association leaders to restore peace in LasAnod.
