Somaliland President Sends Congratulatory message over the islamic new year

Somaliland President Muse Bihi has sent a congratulatory message to the people of Somaliland on the occasion of the beginning of the Islamic new year. He wished blessings from Allah to all Muslims both at home and beyond.

Most of the Public offices are off today for the celebration of the new year and will resume work on tuesday. The president also wishes for more prosperity for the nation and the people in the following years.

The holiday marks the beginning of the new Islamic year 1443. It commemorates the day on which the Prophet Mohammed migrated from Makkah to Madinah. Muslims do not mark the event with celebrations.
