The spokesperson of Somaliland ruling party, Kulmiye Abdinaasir Buuni has opposed that his power was suspended or limited. In a press conference, he said this was a propaganda widely circulated by his political opponents, not naming their identities.
Abdinaris Buuni described anyone who was involved in circulating what he called “Fake News” as a short sighted person. He warned the public not to believe such speculations against him and his party.
He said some people he knew made these videos and documents to mislead the community but forgetting that the current generation are well informed about the new technology and can easily recognise fake documents on the first sight.
Buuni believes these manipulated videos are clear indications of the weakness of his political opponents and will not prevent him from executing his political duties. His statement came a few hours after speculations went round about the suspension of his power by the Interior minister who is also the deputy chairman of Kulmiye party.
