Telesom company which is the leading telecommunications company in Somaliland has donated a total of $600,000 to the National Relief committee of Waaheen market.
Telesom Group donated $500,000 and the other $100,000 was donated by Telesom staff. The donation will go towards rebuilding the waheen market which was destroyed by a huge fire on the eve of Ramadan.
The National Support Committee for the victims of Waaheen Market appointed by the President, said in a preliminary report that the assets destroyed in Waheen Market range from $ 1.5 Billion to $ 2 Billion.
